OUR SERVICE STANDARDS
1. First AI Nail Lamp in Burlington
We are proud to be the first salon in Burlington to upgrade our technology to O Nail AI-powered lamps. Unlike traditional dryers, these smart lamps use precision sensors to monitor the curing process in real-time. This ensures your polish is perfectly set every time while shielding your skin from unnecessary UV exposure, preventing the "stinging" sensation and long-term skin aging.
2. The 10-Day Confidence Guarantee
We take pride in the quality of our work and want you to love your nails long after you leave the salon. If your gel manicure, acrylic set, or dip powder experiences any unexpected chipping, cracking, or lifting within 10 days of your appointment, we will fix it completely free of charge with a complimentary, like-for-like repair. Please note that this guarantee only covers product performance under normal wear; it does not cover regular nail polish, color change services, or accidental major trauma, picking, and biting. Additionally, all services are final with no refunds, and the guarantee is void if you choose to have your nails fixed at another salon.
If you are experiencing issues but cannot physically make it into the salon for an appointment before your 10-day mark, please text us within the 10 days so we can log your request and assist you.
Please note that all services are final, and we do not issue refunds. Once a service is completed, no monetary refunds will be processed under any circumstances.
3. Clean Beauty Color Palette
Health and beauty should go hand-in-hand. Our curated collection features HEMA-free and "Big-Free" non-toxic formulas. These high-performance polishes offer vibrant pigments and long-lasting shine without the harsh chemicals that cause allergies or damage your natural nail plate over time.
4. Luxury Massage & Hot Towel Finish
We believe your appointment should be a retreat, not just a maintenance task. Every service concludes with a therapeutic hand or foot massage using premium botanical lotions to boost circulation. We finish with a steamed hot towel wrap to deeply hydrate the skin and provide a soothing, sensory end to your visit.
5. Complimentary $0 Expert Consultation
Not sure which service is right for your nail type? We offer a free professional consultation before we begin. We assess your natural nail health and discuss your lifestyle—whether you need the strength of Structure Gel or the flexibility of Gel-X—ensuring you get a customized service that lasts.
6. Sterilized & Single-Use Mani-Pedi Kits
Your safety is non-negotiable. We follow strict medical-grade hygiene protocols. All metal tools are autoclave-sterilized and opened from sealed pouches in your presence. Items that cannot be sterilized, such as files, buffers, and pumice stones, are single-use and disposed of after every client.
7. Transparent Upfront Pricing
We believe in honesty from the start. You will never be surprised by "hidden fees" at the checkout for nail shaping, length, or basic removals. Our pricing is clearly communicated upfront, so you can relax and enjoy your pampering session without worrying about the final bill.
8. Digital Loyalty Rewards
We value our community. Our paperless loyalty program automatically tracks your spending and visits—no more lost punch cards. Earn points for every dollar spent and redeem them for exclusive discounts, free add-on treatments, or special birthday rewards through our digital platform.

STORE & SERVICE POLICY
By booking an appointment and arriving for your service, you explicitly agree to all terms and conditions of the Burlington Nail Bar Store Policy. This includes our health disclosures, finality of cured color choices, and our cancellation/service guarantee policies.
1. Booking, Cancellations, & Arrival
-
Punctuality: We recommend arriving 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If you are running late, please notify us as soon as possible.
-
Grace Period: We grant a 15-minute grace period. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in your appointment being shortened to fit the remaining time slot, or cancelled entirely to protect subsequent client bookings.
-
Add-Ons & Nail Art: Services like detailed nail art, French tips, chrome powder, or extensions require dedicated time blocks. These must be selected at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee the addition of complex nail art during a standard service window if it was not booked in advance.
2. Service Guarantee & Repairs
We take immense pride in our technical execution and choice of premium materials.
-
Enhancement & Gel Polish Guarantee: Our Hybrid Gel, Bio-Gel, Builder Gel, and Shellac/Gel polish manicures are guaranteed for 10 days post-service.
-
Complimentary Repairs: If you experience chipping, lifting, or product failure within the first 24 hours, please contact us immediately to schedule a complimentary repair. The physical repair must take place within 10 days of the initial service.
-
Exclusions: This guarantee does not cover physical breakages, tears, or corner cracks caused by heavy manual impact or misuse of nails as tools. Classic/Regular traditional polish applications do not carry a longevity guarantee due to the natural air-drying process of the product.
3. Health, Clean Beauty, & Safety Standards
In compliance with Ontario Public Health regulations for Personal Service Settings (PSS), we enforce strict hygiene protocols to eliminate cross-contamination.
-
Sanitization & Tool Care: All multi-use metal implements (cuticle pushers, nippers, clippers) undergo a rigid three-step cleaning process: physical scrubbing with soap and warm water, followed by immersion in intermediate-to-high-level hospital-grade disinfectant according to Public Health Ontario standards.
-
Single-Use Items: Porous tools such as nail files, buffers, pumice stones, and toe separators are strictly single-use and are either gifted to the client or disposed of immediately after the service.
-
Infection & Condition Disclosure Protocol: For public safety, our staff cannot perform services on hands or feet exhibiting signs of open wounds, severe fungal infections, deep skin cracks, or contagious nail diseases. Clients are required to disclose any pre-existing nail/skin conditions, severe allergies, or medical conditions (such as diabetes) that may affect their safety prior to service initiation. If you choose to proceed with a service without disclosing these conditions to us, you explicitly agree to have the service performed entirely at your own risk. Burlington Nail Bar, its management, and its staff shall not be held liable for any adverse reactions, complications, or aggravations to undisclosed conditions that may arise during or after the service. If a severe abnormality is detected by our staff, we reserve the right to respectfully pause the service and advise consulting a medical professional.
-
Children's Safety Policy: For the safety of our youngest clients, we strictly do not trim cuticles during any children's manicures or pedicures.
4. Consultation & Pricing Transparency
-
Base Rates: Base service prices cover short-to-medium lengths and standard solid color applications. Extra length, shape changes (e.g., transitioning to stiletto or coffin), complex product removals, and custom art incur additional fees.
-
Product & Color Selection Consultations: We offer a $0 complementary product consultation add-on for new sets. If you are unsure whether your natural nails require the flexibility of a structured BIAB overlay, the strength of a hard Bio-Gel, or our ultra-light Hybrid Gel, our artists will evaluate your lifestyle and nail health before application.
-
Finality of Color Selection: Clients are entirely responsible for verifying their chosen color swatch on their natural nail before the curing process begins. Once the color goes under the UV/LED light and is cured, Burlington Nail Bar is no longer responsible for your color choice. Even if you explicitly ask our technicians for their aesthetic advice during the selection process, the responsibility remains with the client. Cured color choices cannot be changed or swapped without incurring a full removal and reapplication fee.
-
Price Confirmation: We encourage open communication. Please confirm final custom pricing with your nail artist during the consultation phase before your service begins.
5. Refunds & Client Satisfaction
-
In-Salon Satisfaction: If you are unhappy with the shape, color, or application of your nails at any point during your service, please let your technician or the salon manager know before checkout. We will gladly adjust the work or remove the product to ensure your satisfaction while you are in the salon.
-
No-Refund Policy: Because nail services represent customized labor and time, no monetary refunds are issued after you leave the premises. Walking out of the salon door constitutes acceptance of the final aesthetic result and service quality. Refunds will not be issued due to a simple change of mind regarding color or style choice after the fact.
6. Conduct & Right of Refusal
-
Burlington Nail Bar is dedicated to maintaining a tranquil, positive space for both clients and staff.
-
We reserve the absolute right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting disruptive, abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior, or anyone under the clear influence of alcohol or substances.
Regular Polish Drying Notice: For clients opting for classic/regular polish on hands or feet, please note that the product requires 2 to 3 hours to become completely dry to a gentle touch, and up to 24 hours to fully cure. We recommend bringing open-toed sandals or flip-flops for regular pedicure services to avoid immediate smudging.
7. Client Property & Personal Belongings
-
Loss or Damage: Burlington Nail Bar is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal items (such as cell phones, designer handbags, clothing, or jewelry) brought into the salon.
-
Product Stains: Due to the nature of chemical products used in the salon (acetone, monomer, pigments, and oils), clients are advised to keep personal items away from workstations. We are not liable for accidental product spills, stains, or damage to your clothing or personal items.
8. Media Release & Social Media Content
-
Photography & Videography: Our staff frequently take photos and videos of finished nail art and spa services for marketing, portfolio, and social media purposes (such as Instagram or TikTok).
-
Consent: By proceeding with the service, you grant Burlington Nail Bar the right to use these images/videos of your hands or feet for promotional content. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please explicitly inform your technician before your service begins.
9. Digital Loyalty Rewards & Wallet Passes
-
Minimum Spend for Reward Issuance: To earn a stamp (or star) toward your loyalty rewards, your individual pre-tax service total must be $35.00 or higher. Services under $35.00 do not qualify for a stamp.
-
Strict "At Time of Checkout" Rule: Stamps must be issued by a staff member at the digital POS terminal during checkout. If you leave the salon premises and forgot to request your stamp, we cannot retroactively issue or credit the stamp to your account later, regardless of receipt proof. It is the client's responsibility to present their digital loyalty card before leaving the counter.
-
Individual Restrictions (Per Customer, Per Visit): Rewards are limited to one stamp per customer, per visit.
-
Group and Family Bookings: Group visits (e.g., friends or family members booking together) cannot combine their bills to accumulate multiple stars on a single loyalty account. Each individual client must have their own loyalty profile, meet the $35.00 minimum spend independently, and claim their own stamp.
-
Program Terms & Fraud Protection: Digital loyalty cards/stamp rewards are strictly non-transferable and hold no cash value. Any digital manipulation, unauthorized point accumulation, sharing of loyalty passes, or duplicate account creation to game the rewards system will result in the immediate termination of the client's loyalty profile and the permanent forfeiture of all accumulated rewards.
10. Pedicure Services, Tools, & Foot Health Policies
To ensure the safety of our clients and maintain proper hygienic and professional boundaries, the following policies apply to all pedicure treatments:
-
Classic Pedicure Limitations: Our standard Classic Pedicure includes standard nail and cuticle care, a scrub, and a basic callus removal treatment. It is designed for routine maintenance, not heavy restorative work.
-
No Razors or Blades: In alignment with Ontario Health and Safety standards, we absolutely do not use razors, credo blades, or sharp cutting tools to cut or slice skin/calluses during any pedicure service.
-
No Ingrown Toenail Removal: Our technicians are licensed beauty professionals, not podiatrists or medical chiropodists. We do not treat, cut, or remove ingrown toenails. If you have a painful, deeply embedded, or infected ingrown toenail, we will respectfully refuse to service that specific area and advise you to seek medical treatment.
-
Upgrades for Heavy Heel Work: If your heels require intensive, deep exfoliation beyond a standard treatment, our staff will recommend upgrading to a Spa Pedicure or purchasing a Premium Callus Treatment Add-on.
-
Advanced Callus Exfoliation Protocol: Our advanced heel treatments involve a multi-step smoothing process using a professional pedicure paddle/foot file to reduce thick skin, pumice stones to buff away dry patches, and a professional electric file (E-File) machine to achieve a refined, smooth finish.
-
Tool Capability Boundaries: We work strictly within the safety limits of our professional cosmetic tools. We cannot perform work that exceeds the physical capability of our tools or safety boundaries. Thick, long-term skin build-up cannot always be completely flattened or removed in a single cosmetic salon session without compromising skin health.
-
No Medical Treatments for Cracked Heels: We offer aesthetic and cosmetic smoothing treatments only. We do not provide medical treatments, cures, or therapies for deeply cracked heels, bleeding skin fissures, or chronic foot conditions. If your heels have deep, open cracks that bleed or are prone to infection, we cannot perform abrasive filing services until the skin has fully healed.
11. Comprehensive Liability Waiver
-
Assumption of Risk: By entering the premises and receiving services at Burlington Nail Bar, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the services, including but not limited to minor nicks, skin irritation from chemical exposures, or allergic reactions to salon products.
-
Limitation of Liability: You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Burlington Nail Bar, its owner, and its employees from any and all claims, lawsuits, or financial liabilities for personal injury, illness, or property damage arising out of or related in any way to your visit, except in cases of gross negligence.
12. Post-Service Aftercare & Infection Liability Policy
Once a service is completed, maintaining the health and cleanliness of the nails, skin, hands, and feet becomes the sole responsibility of the client. Proper aftercare is vital to prevent bacterial or fungal growth.
-
Client Aftercare Responsibilities: Clients are advised to practice good hygiene following their service. This includes keeping hands and feet clean and dry, wearing clean socks after a pedicure, avoiding heavy gardening or harsh household chemicals without protective gloves, and refraining from picking, biting, or forcefully prying off gel enhancements or cuticles.
-
Strict 48-Hour Notification Rule: In the highly unlikely event that you experience unusual swelling, persistent redness, throbbing pain, or signs of inflammation following your service, you must notify Burlington Nail Bar within 48 hours of your appointment.
-
Requirement of Medical Proof: If a client claims they contracted a bacterial or fungal infection due to a service at our salon, the client must provide official, written documentation from a licensed Ontario medical doctor or dermatologist confirming the diagnosis. This documentation must explicitly state that the infection was directly contracted during the timeframe of the salon visit.
-
External Factor Liability Exclusion: Because bacteria and fungi are present everywhere in daily environments (including public pools, gyms, household surfaces, and dirt), and because clients frequently touch their hands and feet to these surfaces post-visit, Burlington Nail Bar, its management, and its staff shall not be held liable for any skin or nail infections that develop after the client leaves our premises, except in proven cases of gross negligence.
-
Prohibition of Self-Treatment: If you suspect an issue or a minor skin break, do not pick at it, apply aggressive DIY treatments, or attempt to remove the nail product yourself, as this can severely worsen the condition. Burlington Nail Bar will not be responsible for any complications or medical costs resulting from client self-treatment or delayed medical attention.
13. Accidental Cut & Blood Exposure Protocol
While our technicians are highly trained professionals using precise tools, the nature of cuticle maintenance, filing, and skin exfoliation means accidental minor nicks or cuts can occasionally occur. In the rare event of skin breakage or bleeding, Burlington Nail Bar strictly enforces the following protocol to protect both the client and the staff:
-
Immediate Service Pause & Isolation: The technician will immediately stop the service the moment blood or a skin break is detected. The technician will sanitize their hands, put on a fresh pair of disposable gloves, and isolate the area to prevent any cross-contamination of tools or station surfaces.
-
First Aid & Antiseptic Care: In strict compliance with Ontario Personal Service Settings (PSS) regulations, the cut will be cleaned immediately using an approved antiseptic solution (such as alcohol or hydrogen peroxide) and treated with a clean, single-use styptic powder or liquid to stop the bleeding. A sterile, disposable bandage will be applied.
-
Complete Tool Disposal & Sterilization: Any single-use tool (like a file or buffer) that comes into contact with blood will be immediately disposed of in a biohazard receptacle. All multi-use metal implements involved will be instantly removed from the floor, thoroughly washed, and placed in high-level hospital-grade disinfectant for the maximum required contact time before ever being used again.
-
Limitation of Liability for Minor Nicks: By proceeding with services that involve sharp cosmetic tools (such as cuticle nippers, E-files, and metal pushers), the client acknowledges that minor skin abrasions are an inherent risk of nail care. Burlington Nail Bar and its technicians are not liable for accidental, minor superficial nicks or cuts that occur during standard cuticle or skin maintenance.
-
Right to Refuse/Halt Service: If an accidental cut occurs due to sudden client movement, flinching, or an unannounced medical condition (such as thin skin or blood-thinning medications), the technician reserves the right to halt the service entirely for safety reasons.
-
Client Financial Responsibility: An accidental minor nick does not entitle the client to a free service, a full refund, or a discount on the completed labor. Our staff will professionally administer immediate first aid, ensure your total safety, and complete the service with maximum care.
14. Gift Card Policies & Tax Regulations
Burlington Nail Bar offers physical and digital gift cards subject to the following standard regulations and salon terms:
-
Balance-Only Dollar Amount Sales: We only sell fixed dollar balance gift cards (e.g., a card loaded with $50, $100, etc.). We do not sell gift cards tied to a specific named service (such as "One Free Classic Pedicure"). The dollar balance loaded on the card acts as cash value toward any salon service or product at the time of redemption.
-
Taxation at Redemption (HST): In strict accordance with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Ontario tax laws, sales tax (13% HST) is never charged when buying a gift card. Instead, the applicable 13% HST must be legally charged at the time the service is actually performed. The tax will be added to the service total and redeemed directly off the card’s balance.
-
Important Pre-Tax Planning Note: Because taxes are deducted from the card at checkout, the loaded balance must be high enough to cover both the service price and the tax. If you wish for a gift card to completely cover a specific service for a recipient, please ensure you purchase a balance equal to the service price plus the 13% Ontario HST. Any remaining balance shortfalls at checkout must be paid using a secondary payment method (cash, debit, or credit).
-
No Expiry Dates: In compliance with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, gift cards purchased for a dollar value never expire. The balance remains active and valid indefinitely until fully redeemed.
-
No Dormancy or Maintenance Fees: Burlington Nail Bar will never charge activation fees, usage fees, or monthly dormancy/inactivity fees that reduce the value of your card over time.
-
Non-Refundable & No Cash Redemption: Gift cards are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be used to purchase another gift card. Cash change will not be given for any remaining balances; any unused balance will stay securely on the card for future visits.
-
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards: Treat your gift card like cash. Burlington Nail Bar is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards, or cards used without your permission. Physical gift cards must be presented at the counter during checkout to be redeemed; we cannot look up or honor physical card balances via a receipt or text.
